Free Editing Sample

Want a free sample? If you'd like to see what kind of editing I do, e-mail me a page or two, say 500 words, and I'll show you what I think needs to be done to it.

Even if you have no intention of hiring an editor, ever, you may find the free sample edit worthwhile as a learning experience -- or just to get your toes wet in the scary ocean of having strangers look at your work.

I won't put you on an e-mail list of any sort, or share your e-mail address. This means that if you later decide you want an editor, you'll have to find me: I won't be sending you updates or reminders.

to get to an e-mail page. (Or, e-mail BKEdits@BKEdits.com) The easiest way to send a manuscript, and the way that preserves your formatting, is to send an attachment. I have Windows, and can read and mark changes in OpenOffice, WordPerfect, and Word. Please use the subject line FREE SAMPLE EDIT, so you go to the correct box.

And you don't need to compose a cover letter to go with it. I'll know what it is by the subject line, and I'll send it back to you with my suggestions. My helpful suggestions. My cruel, unsympathetic, helpful suggestions.
